The Making of Operation Augment
Operation Augment is my story that I’m planning to turn into a graphic novel series. Set in a dystopian world that is only starting to reach a new normal after the Third World War, where, out of desperation to control the world, the aligned world powers created genetically mutated superhumans to fight this war for them.
Mizuku (Yumi) Artiri AKA Blackout
Yumi showed signs of imperium mutations at a young age, this caused SIN corp to become aware of Yumi. The mutation was shown fully at the age of 4 ½ where she successfully dulled her father’s mutations through physical contact. This sparked the government to form a plot to kidnap her and frame his death so she could be a pawn for the government. SIN corp successfully captured her a short while after her 5th birthday. After the capture she was drafted into multiple roles in recon and support. It quickly became obvious Yumi would be better if she had a power up to her mutation. Thus she was forced into the Augment Program for testing.
Since Yumi was always involved in heroics missions ever since drafted. They gained more importance and notoriety, causing them to change their name and start to present themselves as a man. Due to the testing he underwent through the augment program his mutation is incredibly powerful. His incredible ability and his extensive experience in squad missions, Mizuku quickly became a decorated soldier. As he gained more experience he quickly gained higher clearance and teamwork skills. As it is currently he is seen as an incredibly talented hero and has gained significant notoriety from this.
As his missions are wildly successful his popularity has grown exponentially. Mizuku has received a rank in the top twenty five. The top 25 rank puts Mizuku in an incredibly prestigious position to market of off. Most top heroes have brands and public appearances to bolster popularity, which Mizuku despises. He has a few notable organizations he is the figurehead for. Unlike standard heroes, Mizuku mainly focuses on charity and interviews that spread awareness of current issues. This makes him incredibly popular, which means he has knock off figures and merch made in his image, as he doesn’t copyright his brand. This makes him somewhat an icon among popular culture.
Denji Kanden AKA Voltage
Denji’s mother is a social aristocrat working for the government, and his father was a one-night stand. Denji, as a result, was never raised by parental figures, instead placed in government care programs. His mother drafted him into the heroics program as soon as he presented his mutation. Denji’s mutation was similar to his mother's, allowing him to hold and release large amounts of energy he comes in contact with. He quickly became a notorious figure as he could quickly incapacitate opponents. His mutation, dubbed ‘battery’, became notorious for what it can do to people.

Denji is a special agent, he has high status despite being an independent agent. This means even though Denji has incredibly high clearance ranking he is less decorated than other heroes of his rank.
He is a assassin for high class targets, which means his work is never publicized. His main method and goal of operation is to silence dangerous individuals and organizations. Thus he is incredibly skilled in weaponry and reconnaissance techniques. Despite his lack of decoration most who have the Clarence to know who he is understand the level of skill he is adept at.
